Top CBD Delivery Methods

Inhalation, Oral, Sublingual, and Topical CBD Delivery Methods

When it comes to consuming CBD, there are different delivery methods to choose from. As time goes on, more options are becoming available. For example, people can consume CBD through vape pens and other vaporization devices rather than just smoking. Here are some top CBD delivery methods.

Some people prefer consuming CBD through edibles, capsules, or topicals rather than inhaling it. No matter what you use CBD for, there are several delivery methods to choose from that can suit your specific needs and wants. Some experimentation will most likely need to take place in order for you to find the most suitable option for your specific needs.

Top CBD Delivery Methods:

There are four main methods of consuming CBD such as orally, topically, sublingually, and inhalation. However, there’s something you should keep in mind regarding consuming CBD. The specific effects that may occur from your chosen delivery method will vary from person to person. Therefore, the type of effects you feel will most likely be different than the kind of effects another individual. Even if they chose the same delivery method as you one could experience effects differently. Also, there’s a variety of factors that could influence the user’s experience.

The top CBD delivery methods listed above have inspired the creation of different products and full product lines. For instance, the popularity of vaping has taken off in recent years. Especially due to the discreetness of it when you’re out in public or outside of your home. It has also been found that vaping is one of the most effective delivery methods. It heats up the substance to a certain temperature without burning it as compared to smoking. Through vaping, users can receive a plethora of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids. These all have their own individual benefits aside from cannabis and CBD’s existing medicinal properties.

Although inhalation through vaping is one of the top CBD delivery methods, some people prefer ingesting CBD instead. Eating edibles aka cannabis-infused food and/or drinks, capsules/pills, and other assorted tablets are great for ingesting. CBD oil on its own has a very peculiar taste that can be too overpowering for some people. Taking a different form of CBD can be more beneficial for certain individuals. However, it’s important to know that if you choose the oral/ingestion CBD delivery method, the effects typically won’t kick in until the 30-60-minute mark for most users.

In general, orally administered CBD can last for four hours or more. The effects are felt at a slower rate as compared to inhalation through a vape pen or other vaporization device. With this being said, if an individual is looking for immediate pain-relief, consuming CBD orally wouldn’t be the best option. The effects would take a while for the effects to kick in.

Topically-Administered CBD:

Another top CBD delivery method consists of topically-administered CBD. This consists of products like CBD-infused lotions, salves, creams, and oils. Topically-administered CBD products are unique for a variety of reasons. One of the main reasons is because an individual does not feel high during or after usage. Additionally, people who suffer from chronic pain of any sort of medical condition, disease, and/or ailment can benefit from topical products.

One main reason why people enjoy consuming CBD topically is because they’re able to experience a more focused and fast-acting form of pain-relief. Topical CBD products show to be the most effective for localized pain-reliever. Individuals are able to apply the product on different parts of their body.

For those of you who don’t know, topical CBD products have an infusion of other active cannabinoids. They are then absorbed into the body’s skin. The cannabinoids bind to the body’s CB2 receptors on the skin, and as a result, this activates the body’s endocannabinoid system.

In general, topical CBD products have become one of the top CBD delivery methods because they deliver relief alongside a feeling of relaxation instead of feeling stoned or cognitively impaired. Also, since users don’t feel high from topical CBD salves, lotions, or creams, they can carry on with their day and experience pain relief wherever and whenever.

Sublingually-Administered CBD:

Another top CBD delivery method consists of sublingually-administered CBD, in which the sublingual products are placed under the tongue and within the mouth. The purpose of sublingually-administered CBD is for the mouth’s blood vessels to effectively absorb the specific product’s cannabinoids. A few examples of sublingual CBD products include dissolvable strips, sublingual sprays, tinctures, and medicated lozenges.

Overall, sublingually-administered CBD is a top CBD delivery method. The intake of these products travel through the mouth’s membranes, which is ideal for ingesting a plethora of cannabinoids. In general, sublingually-administered CBD provides individuals with nearly immediate effects. Sublingual administration also has effective absorption as compared to other delivery methods.

All in all, there are several top CBD delivery methods available to people worldwide. Regardless of why you consume CBD, there’s a delivery method for you that can suit your exact needs and wants. You’ll just have to do your research beforehand, experiment with a couple of different delivery methods, and see what works best for you!

  1. Hello, good read. So my best friends mom got intestinal cancer. We are looking at all out of the box treatments. We will try this and see what happens. Hoping for the best or at least some remission. Or maybe pain relief for her quality of life.

So delivered method I’m thinking capsule as that will deliver it closer to her area of trouble. As it is in the upper part of the small intestine. What about dose? As she is a smaller person 5’2 110 pounds. Like I said we don’t have much experience with this. So any advice would be greatly appreciate. Like I said hope for the best. Or at least some improvement with her quality of life.

    1. We do not provide dosing guidelines but starting off with a smaller amount and working up is best. We typically see beginners starting at 25 mg.

    1. None claim to prevent cancer but to promote well-being and aid pain relief. Looking at it sublingually is best all round

      1. Unfortunately the FDA does not allow ANY CBD companies to state that any CBD products can prevent cancer. Ultimately, CBD is something that you will have to use and figure out how it works best with your own body. Sublingual is definitely an amazing delivery method along with suppositories.
