Doctor Oz on the Opioid Epidemic; Medical Marijuana is an Exit Drug Not a Gateway Drug
Doctor Oz on America’s Opioid Epidemic
The Hypocrisy of Medical Marijuana
The well-known doctor has referenced the benefit of medical marijuana publicly but on Tuesday, Sept. 19 he went on air with Fox and Friends to mention the hypocrisy of medical marijuana.
“The real story is the hypocrisy around medical marijuana,” Doctor Oz begins. “Medical marijuana people think is a gateway drug to narcotics it may be the exit drug to get us out of the opioid epidemic. But we are not allowed to study it cause it is a scheduled I substance.”
The conversation begins with Doctor Oz and Fox News reporters talking about the stress in America. Soon, the opioid epidemic became the topic of conversation in which Doctor Oz took the time to mention medical marijuana could be an “exit drug” to narcotics.
This isn’t the first time he voices his opinion on the benefits of medical marijuana. On an episode of Larry King Now in 2014, he believes marijuana when used correctly is hugely beneficial for medicinal purposes.
“I grew up with most of my generation thinking that marijuana was something Satan was throwing at Americans and a communist plot. But I think that most of us have come around to the belief that marijuana is hugely beneficial when used correctly for medicinal purposes. We pervert its use sometimes. I don’t think it should be widely used, certainly by kids, because it creates a dependence that’s unhealthy in any setting. But it absolutely should be widely available in America.”

CBD from hemp provides positive benefits for those in pain. One of the main reasons consumers use CBD is for the analgesic properties. People suffering from daily discomfort and pain have stopped using opioids and their prescription medications for CBD oils. A report shows that CBD has provided better effects and users are more likely to use CBD than prescription medicines. Athletes have reported to have success with using CBD in replacement for opioid pain relievers and anti-inflammatories. A specific customer of Infinite CBD has reported to us he only used CBD after his spinal fusion surgery. While in the hospital he was on whatever medications from the doctors. Pre and post surgery he was reliant on Infinite CBD products.
Other customers with various ailments have also reported to stop using opioids all together. Eliminating the large amount of medications each day allows the customer to live life clear-headed. The non psychoactive cannabinoid works on our endocannabinoid system to trigger neurotransmitters and body functions.
